Burnham Presents welcomes Reed Foehl to the Burnham Presents stage!

The first time we heard Reed Foehl, he was performing as Hades in the  2011  version of Anais Mitchell's Hadestown long before the days of Broadway. Our co-director Mark Mulqueen was the sound engineer and driver for the memorable Colorado Sings Hadestown leg of this tour. This version of the musical with Reed as Hades also made a stop  at Mary's Restaurant barn in Bristol on their tour of Vermont barn shows.!  

Fast forward to 2025, Reed and his band were at the Freshgrass Festival

 at MassMoca and I was reintroduced to his writing and music with open ears and great appreciation of his talent.  

​Grammy nominated, Reed  started out as a street singer on the streets of Boston and has gone on to record and release over 11 studio albums that have garnered him national attention with numerous placements in film and television and as a touring singer-songwriter.

He is set to release his 7th solo studio album in 2026. Recorded in Woodstock ,NY, with many special guests lending their talents to the project including Gregory Alan Isakov, Jeffrey Martin, Anna Tivel, Rich Hinman and Jeb Bows.

Foehl writes songs like postcards from the long way home- Weathered, honest and quietly devastating. Rooted in American folk, his music carries the weight of loss, love and survival, told with a voice that sounds lived-in and unafraid. There's a grit in the stories, grace in the melodies, and a deep human tenderness running through it all.

Doors at 7:00-Music starts at 7:30 for two sets with a short intermission.

Delicious homemade refreshments will be available.

Admission sliding scale $25/$30 

Kids 12 and under $12 ~Youth on laps-free.

We absorb the ticket processing fees and all proceeds after expenses go to the musicians. Cuts in funding for the arts and increased expenses are being felt far and wide for  touring musicians .
